Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Hampas collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the platform.

Last updated: June 23, 2026

Introduction

Hampas ("Hampas", "we", "our", or "us") provides a platform for players to organize matches, record results, track rankings, join clubs and events, and participate in community activities.

This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we retain it, and the choices available to you when using the service.

Information you provide

We collect information you provide when creating or updating an account, such as your name, email address, display name, sex or gender selection, biography, profile photo, preferred sport, privacy settings, and other profile details.

We collect content and activity you choose to submit, including match participation and results, scores, rankings, achievements, gear information, club and event information, venue selections, reports, feedback, and communications sent to support.

If you upload profile, club, or other images, those files and related metadata are stored to provide the requested feature.

Authentication information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive information authorized by you and the provider, which may include your provider account identifier, name, email address, and profile information.

Authentication credentials and sessions are handled through the selected sign-in provider and Supabase. Hampas does not receive your Google or Apple account password.

Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your personal email when you select that option.

Location and venue information

With your permission, Hampas accesses your device location to find nearby matches and venues, validate location-sensitive hosting features, and improve location search results.

Device coordinates may be sent to our backend or Google Maps Platform services when needed to perform a nearby search, retrieve place details, or associate an activity with a selected venue.

We also process venue names, addresses, coordinates, verification status, and match or event associations. Venue and match location information may be visible to other users as part of the service.

You can disable location access through your device settings, but nearby and location-dependent features may stop working.

Camera, photos, and media

With your permission, Hampas uses the camera to scan match QR codes, capture scoreboard content, and support photo or video features.

The app may access your photo library or media storage when you select an image, upload a profile or club image, or save generated match media to your device.

Camera recordings and generated media are saved or uploaded only when you use the related feature. You can revoke camera, photo, or media access through your device settings.

Notifications

If you enable notifications, we may process a device or push notification token and send notifications about account activity, matches, clubs, events, participation requests, and other service updates.

You can disable notifications through your device settings. Some in-app notification records may remain available within your account.

Advertising and consent information

Hampas uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements to free or non-subscribed users.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share information such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, ads viewed, taps, video views, diagnostic information, performance data, and fraud-prevention signals.

Advertising information may be used by Google and its advertising partners for ad delivery, measurement, analytics, frequency control, security, and fraud prevention. Depending on your region, device settings, consent choices, and applicable law, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, or limited.

Where required, Hampas uses Google's User Messaging Platform to request and store advertising privacy choices before requesting ads. If privacy options are required for you, they can be reviewed or changed through Settings in the app.

On iOS, access to Apple's advertising identifier is also subject to applicable device permissions and Apple requirements. Denying a tracking request, if presented, does not prevent you from using the app, although advertisements may be less personalized.

For more information about how Google handles information, visit https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Subscriptions and purchase information

Subscriptions are purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play. Hampas does not directly receive or store your complete payment card information.

Apple, Google, and RevenueCat may process purchase identifiers, subscription status, product information, transaction history, app user identifiers, device information, and related diagnostics to process purchases, validate entitlements, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide subscription support.

We use subscription status to provide paid benefits such as an ad-free experience.

Technical and usage information

We and our service providers may process device type, operating system, app version, language, time zone, network information, IP address, app interactions, request logs, crash information, diagnostics, and performance information.

We use this information to operate the service, troubleshoot errors, secure accounts, prevent abuse, understand feature performance, and improve reliability.

How we use information

We use information to create and maintain accounts; authenticate users; provide matches, scores, rankings, achievements, clubs, events, locations, gear tracking, notifications, subscriptions, advertising, sharing, and support features.

We also use information to personalize app settings, synchronize activity, process reports, enforce platform rules, detect fraud or abuse, protect users, maintain competitive integrity, comply with law, and develop or improve features.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information for reporting, analytics, and service improvement where permitted by law.

Profile visibility and social features

Your display name, profile image, sport, rankings, achievements, match participation, club or event participation, and other activity may be visible to other users as necessary to provide social and competitive features.

If your profile is public, other users may be able to view additional profile details, match history, gear, locations, rankings, achievements, and club participation.

Privacy settings limit certain profile content, but information shared within a match, club, event, leaderboard, report, or shared record may remain visible to relevant users.

Blocking another user limits certain interactions but may not remove shared match, club, event, or leaderboard records.

How we share information

We share information with other users when needed to provide profiles, matches, rankings, leaderboards, clubs, events, reports, and other community features.

We share information with service providers that process data on our behalf or provide integrated functionality, including Supabase for database, authentication, storage, and realtime services; Expo and related mobile infrastructure; Google and Apple for sign-in; Google Maps Platform for place and venue services; Google AdMob for advertising; and RevenueCat, Apple, and Google for subscriptions and purchases.

We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to investigate fraud or security incidents, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of Hampas, our users, or the public.

If Hampas is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.

Sale and advertising-related sharing

Hampas does not sell personal information for money.

The disclosure of device, interaction, and advertising information to Google AdMob and advertising partners may be treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some privacy laws.

Where applicable, you can exercise available advertising privacy choices through the consent message, the Ad privacy options entry in Settings, your mobile operating system settings, or by contacting us.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security and competitive integrity, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Account and profile information is generally retained while your account is active. Reports, security records, transaction records, and backups may be retained longer where reasonably necessary or legally required.

Because matches, rankings, clubs, events, and competitive records involve other users, some records may remain after account deletion in de-identified form, including under a label such as "Deleted Account".

Information may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period before being overwritten or deleted according to backup schedules.

Account deletion

You may request deletion through Settings in the app. Account deletion removes or de-identifies your profile and prevents continued access to the account.

Shared match history and records involving other users may remain in de-identified form to preserve score history, rankings, fraud prevention, and competitive integrity.

Deleting your Hampas account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel an active subscription separately through the store account used to purchase it.

You may also contact support@hampas.app for assistance with a privacy or deletion request.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may update profile information, profile visibility, language, theme, notification permissions, location permissions, camera or media permissions, and advertising privacy choices through the app or your device settings where available.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some requests may be limited where information must be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transactional, or shared-record purposes.

To submit a privacy request, contact support@hampas.app.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encrypted transmission through our service providers where supported.

No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for protecting access to your device, sign-in provider, and Hampas account.

Children's privacy

Hampas is not directed to children who are below the minimum age required to consent to online services in their jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who is not legally permitted to use the service without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided information improperly, contact support@hampas.app.

International data transfers

Hampas operates from the Philippines and uses service providers that may process or store information in other countries.

Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we and our providers use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

Third-party policies

Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We encourage you to review the policies of Google, Apple, Supabase, Expo, RevenueCat, and any other service you choose to use through Hampas.

Hampas is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites, advertisements, services, or applications.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, legal requirements, or third-party integrations change.

We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Continued use after the revised policy becomes effective means the revised policy applies to your continued use.
