Introduction

Hampas (“Hampas”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a platform for players to organize matches, track rankings, join clubs, and participate in community activities.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when using the service.

Information we collect

We may collect account information such as your username, display name, email address, profile photo, biography, and authentication details.

If you sign in using Google, Apple, or similar providers, we may receive basic account information associated with those services, such as your name, email address, and profile image.

We also collect activity-related information including match participation, rankings, scores, achievements, club memberships, leaderboards, and other content you choose to create or share within the app.

Technical information such as device type, operating system, crash reports, diagnostics, approximate location information, and usage analytics may also be collected to improve reliability, security, and performance.

How we use information

We use collected information to operate the platform, maintain rankings, display profiles, synchronize match activity, improve user experience, detect abuse, and provide customer support.

Information may also be used to develop new features, analyze app performance, maintain security, and improve the integrity and reliability of the service.

Profile visibility and social features

Certain profile information and activity may be visible to other users depending on your privacy settings and how you use the platform.

If your profile is set to public, other users may be able to view your profile details, rankings, achievements, match history, and club participation.

Sharing and third-party services

Hampas does not sell personal information.

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate and improve the platform. These providers may process limited information on our behalf for infrastructure, authentication, analytics, cloud hosting, performance monitoring, and security purposes.

Third-party providers may include Supabase for database and authentication services, Expo for mobile application infrastructure, Google Analytics for usage statistics and general location insights, and authentication providers such as Google and Apple when you choose to sign in using those services.

When using third-party sign-in providers, certain account information such as your name, email address, and profile image may be shared with Hampas according to your provider account settings and permissions.

Information may also be disclosed if required by law, legal process, or when necessary to protect the safety, rights, security, or integrity of Hampas, its users, or the public.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce platform policies, and maintain competitive integrity.

Because match records, rankings, and player activity may involve other users, some information may continue to exist within the platform even if an account becomes inactive.

Some information may also remain in backups or archived systems for a limited period of time.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect user information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You may update certain profile information, privacy settings, and account preferences through the app when available.

Depending on applicable laws, you may also have rights to access or correct certain personal information.

Because match records, rankings, and competitive history may involve other users, complete deletion of account-related activity may not always be possible.

We may retain limited information necessary to preserve match integrity, enforce policies, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or maintain legitimate business records.

Children’s privacy

Hampas is not intended for children under the age required by local laws to use online services without parental consent.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals who are not legally permitted to use the service.

International users and jurisdiction

Hampas operates from the Philippines and processes information in accordance with applicable Philippine laws and regulations.

By using the service, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in countries where our infrastructure or service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes become effective means you agree to the revised policy.
